Independence HallFounded by the same researchers who developed the Addiction Severity Index, TRI is an independent, nonprofit research and development organization dedicated to science-driven reform of treatment and policy in substance use.


ResearchTRI is one of the most acclaimed research groups in the nation in addiction and substance use, conducting state-of-the-science research to evaluate what works and why – for men, women, adolescents, offenders, and others whose substance use or abuse has compromised their lives.


By engineering research findings into solutions-oriented products and services, TRI puts science to work for treatment counselors, criminal justice officials, policy makers, and parents.
