CASPAR-C™
Software Helping Treatment Programs Get Started Creating a Local Resource Guide

Fostering quality improvement in substance abuse treatment, CASPAR-C™ is a Microsoft® Access application helping treatment programs get started with problem-services matching by creating an electronic database of locally available services their patients may need to improve prospects for recovery.

A user-friendly design with editing features helps create categories and sub-categories of services (eg, housing, legal, employment assistance) based on location, accessibility to public transportation, fee structure, gender suitability, and other factors that can promote patients’ use of services. A detailed user manual gives step-by-step instructions for manually populating and updating the system and using it to search for free or low-cost services matched to patient needs identified on a standardized assessment.

Although CASPAR was shown effective using the DENS™ ASI assessment software, plus an electronic resource guide developed for urban Philadelphia, CASPAR-C can be used in combination with any validated patient assessment, ASI or otherwise.

A general understanding of Microsoft Windows will benefit users. Otherwise, no other software is required to use or populate this standalone software program. Purchase price for CASPAR-C and its accompanying User Manual is $500.
